Tomorrow Gaungzhou

To say that we are anxious to get to Gaungzhou and begin the final stage of our journey would be an understatement. We collect Alison's passport tomorrow and leave for the airport at 2:00. We had an interesting day today, we went to visit a typical Chinese village to get an idea of what kind of life our child would have come from. It was a true eye opener. Even though the conditions were on a poverty level the people seemed happy and their children loved. Most of the children were boys of course, I was so saddened to think that this would have been the life for Alison if she had been lucky enough to have been kept by her parents.
The weather was cold and rainy with high winds so we were happy to make it back to the hotel and get some lunch. We are dreaming of Cactus Cantina and Houstons...two great restaurants back home. Chinese food in China is completely different than Chinese food back home.
Alison continues to thrive, she is such a true gift and treasure and we love her so much.
I am sending some pictures of the day..till tomorrow..

Hey Betina, Alison looks so happy and healthy. I can't read your messages without getting tears in my eyes. So happy for you both and so sad the Ali is not with you and all of us. I love that you gave Alison her name. She will be blessed for it. I will be in MD in early April to visit you and Lee Lee, my two sisters. Miss you, Mindy
